The world of NFTs continues to surprise us, and the surprise was great when the Pixelmon NFTs were revealed which, according to some comments, look like drawings worthy of a CP student.
The quality and design of the illustrated characters can indeed surprise and have even brought Syber, the founder of the projectto publicly apologize for the quality of the NFTs revealed.
The company managed to raise no less than $70 millionthe shock was great when the first NFTs were unveiled.

In a series of tweets, the founder of the Pixelmon project wanted to give some explanations in an attempt to temporize the anger and the outcry caused by these digital drawings which have gone around the web.
” The Pixelmon reveal was unacceptable. This is what our Pixelmons look like in-game. Our NFT art failed to reflect this.
Despite the commotion I’m not going anywhere. The objective has not changed. The funds will still be used to build our game. I will complete this project. »he says in his first message.

Despite the hate and criticism he may have received on social networks, Syber intends to continue his project and prove that his team can do better despite the disappointing first results.
It must be said that the bill is rather steep for the many people who have purchased these non-fungible tokens in advance for a cost of buying an NFT around 3 ETH (about $8,100!).
The founder of the project makes amends and does not hesitate to apologize for the chaotic start of these NFTs which were eagerly awaited by their buyers.
“90% of everyone I know in this space hates me right now. Again, I understand. I deserve it. All. What I say is sorry. In the name of myself. On behalf of Pixelmon. For the disappointing way we started our journey.
Our journey has only just begun and we will work hard to regain the trust of the community no matter how long it takes.
Regardless of the hate and threats I receive on Twitter, I’m not going anywhere. The objective has not changed. The funds will still be used to build our game.
The game is in the hands of a professional studio with over 500 employees. We will complete this project. I know the hate won’t stop no matter what I say. I am prepared for this and will not let it affect or slow down development. »
Finally, to relativize the “ugliness” of certain designs, the founder indicates that these NFTs do not resemble those present in the game. A clarification that will perhaps reassure holders shocked by the design of these first non-fungible tokens.
“some look like shitty game from the 90s right now and don’t reflect what they look like in game.”
What I’m saying is sorry. On behalf of myself. On behalf of Pixelmon. For the poor way we have begun our journey.
Our journey has just begun and we will work hard to earn back the trust of the community no matter how long it takes

Pixelmon NFT holders who can perhaps put things into perspective with regard to other NFTs which are not particularly pretty from a graphic or design point of view but which are nevertheless worth surprising prices, such as the famous Cryptopunks which are simple 24×24 pixel images.
An NFT sector which therefore continues to surprise us and which certainly has other surprises in store for us for this year 2022.
